I recently bought an' EzyCap USB VG01 Video Grabber' I plugged it in but can only use the white & yellow plugs ( no sockets for the other 2 plugs) & I am watching it in the little preview window on the' Ulead video studio' that came with it & I think there is a problem as the picture is very jumpy. Just watched the video file copied from the VHS tape on my Windows 7 PC BUT the picture is very jumpy ( just like it was on the little preview screen) & there is no sound, any suggestion of what I am doing wrong;(. Red and white are left and right audio. Yellow or black are for video. Use one or the other not both.

Also check your output source is outputting in PAL and Ulead is also set to PAL on it's input. Also given it's cheapness I would not really expect decent results, however you will get better results if the PC has plenty of free resources. That is a good fast processor and plenty of ram and not running any other applications while capping, especially anything that has lots of disk I/O. I would also be checking for Ulead updates or try another capping programme. Can't offer any suggestions on this as I used WinDV to record from my VHS tape deck through a Firewire Canopus ADVC-55 Lot more expensive than the unit you got, but does an excellent job so long as the tapes are not Macrovision protected.
